Jack Eichel was selected second overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. Eichel was the recipient of the 2015 Hobey Baker Award, given to the top National Collegiate Athletic Association men's ice hockey player. There has not been as highly touted of a player to come to Buffalo since Gilbert Perreault, nor has there been more excitement around an American born hockey player since Pat LaFontaine.
